If there’s one thing I love about the holiday season, it’s gift guides—you may or may not have noticed that this week—regardless of how frivolous or excessive some of them may be. So in the spirit of the season, I decided to include a few of my favorite gift guides from around the web in addition to my favorite bits of Internet from this week.

My favorite holiday gift guides

Joanna Godard’s annual gift guide will always be one of my favorites.

The lovely Melissa Joy Kong shares some of her ultimate seasonal gifts.

Perfect for any workaholic: The 2014 Gift Guide for Getting Things Done.

Esquire has a great collection of holiday gifts for everyone on your list.

And in the meantime, here are all my other favorite bits of Internet from this week:

If this mash-up of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” and the Serial podcast’s theme is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

Does this exist for adults? Because, if not, I’d like to be a kid again this Christmas.

A wise friend sent me this much-needed piece of writing.

Nick Offerman is the best ever. That’s all.

I’ll probably be making these this weekend.

Winter has officially set in & this is how you hibernate.

“Is Studying Buffy the Vampire Slayer More Important Than Studying Shakespeare?” Duh.
