It’s been a little too long since my last big road trip, so next week I’m piling in the car with my family and heading east to visit relatives in Connecticut. Sure, it might be more practical to fly, but for quite few reasons, a road trip made the most sense.
While it’s not nearly as long of a drive as San Francisco, it’s always good to have things to look forward to along the way. So, for now, here are a few of the attractions I’m excited to stop at en route to the East Coast:
- Thomas Edison’s Birthplace – Milan, Ohio (Roadtrippers)
- Gobblers Knob – Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania (Roadtrippers) – Who wouldn’t want to pay a visit to Punxsutawney Phil?
- Scranton, Pennslyvania: Home of “The Office” (Roadtrippers) – While Dunder Mifflin (and its office building) aren’t real, there are quite a few locations around Scranton, like Poor Richard’s Pub, that exist in real life.

Have any must-see attractions along the way? I’d love to hear your suggestions!
