Though I’ve never been a huge fan of extravagant birthday plans or commemorating huge yearly milestones. I recently stumbled across a blogger who compiles a birthday list every year – one task or goal for each year – to be completed before her next birthday.
So, without further ado, here is my list of 22 things I plan on doing while I’m still 22:
- Actually cook meals & sit down to eat them
- Read 22 books – because I want to, not because I have to
- Drink more water
- Volunteer – finally take the orientation class at the Des Moines Animal Rescue League
- Graduate from college!
- Have more adventures – go on a road trip!
- Take more photos
- Learn to knit
- Start working out again – run because I enjoy it, not because I have to
- Learn how to make macaroons
- Go back to Connecticut to visit my grandma
- Learn how to make a latte at home
- Buy a copy of Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” – for inspiration & for tastier dinners
- Be more adventurous in my clothing choices
- Master the art of the sock bun
- Enjoy spending time alone
- Get a library card at the Library of Congress
- Find a new apartment – potentially in an exciting, new city!
- Stop eating junk foods (especially the ones I don’t really enjoy all that much)
- Write more letters
- Hopefully find a full-time job
- Keep blogging!
