The Birthday List (22)

Though I’ve never been a huge fan of extravagant birthday plans or commemorating huge yearly milestones. I recently stumbled across a blogger who compiles a birthday list every year – one task or goal for each year – to be completed before her next birthday.

So, without further ado, here is my list of 22 things I plan on doing while I’m still 22:

  1. Actually cook meals & sit down to eat them
  2. Read 22 books – because I want to, not because I have to
  3. Drink more water
  4. Volunteer – finally take the orientation class at the Des Moines Animal Rescue League
  5. Graduate from college!
  6. Have more adventures – go on a road trip!
  7. Take more photos
  8. Learn to knit
  9. Start working out again – run because I enjoy it, not because I have to
  10. Learn how to make macaroons
  11. Go back to Connecticut to visit my grandma
  12. Learn how to make a latte at home
  13. Buy a copy of Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” – for inspiration & for tastier dinners
  14. Be more adventurous in my clothing choices
  15. Master the art of the sock bun
  16. Enjoy spending time alone
  17. Get a library card at the Library of Congress
  18. Find a new apartment – potentially in an exciting, new city!
  19. Stop eating junk foods (especially the ones I don’t really enjoy all that much)
  20. Write more letters
  21. Hopefully find a full-time job
  22. Keep blogging!
