A few months ago, we made a detour in Cedar Falls for lunch on our way back to Des Moines. While there we stumbled across a welcome surprise: a craft brewery. Not only is SingleSpeed Brewing a great place to grab a drink it’s also home to some truly delicious brews.
Dozens of bicycle-themed prints adorn the walls and growlers serve as light fixtures above the rich wooden bar. With comfortable outdoor seating and close proximity to the local trail system, SingleSpeed lives up to its name as the perfect bicycle bar.
I was a big fan of the Brewed x2 (a coffee infused American Brown Ale). We also loved the seasonal Anna Marie (an American Blonde Ale with Strawberry). While I was itching to try the Tip the Cow (a Cocoa Espresso Milk Stout), the taproom’s keg had just run out. Sounds like the perfect reason for a return trip to me!
If you’re in the area, this Cedar Falls brewery is definitely a necessary stop.
